BREAKING: Key Patriots WR listed on injury report with new ailment

Key Patriots WR listed on injury report with new ailment

Dealing with a new ankle ailment, Pop Douglas was among 13 players listed as limited on the Patriots’ first injury report of the week.

The second-year wideout was New England’s leading receiver (5 catches, 62 yards) in last Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins, but may have gotten banged up with the process. Given how shifty and reliant on quick cuts Douglas is, this ankle injury will be one to monitor as the week goes on.

Elsewhere on the injury report, Jabrill Peppers was surprisingly listed as limited with a knee injury despite missing the past eight weeks. The safety was removed from the commissioner’s exempt list on Monday afternoon and could return on Sunday against the Colts, but apparently is still bothered by a knee issue. Cole Strange was also listed as limited with a knee injury as he continues to work his way back from a torn patellar tendon.

In positive Patriots news, Christian Gonzalez was a full participant after popping up on the injury report late last week with a hip issue, and Jaquelin Roy returned to practice after missing all of last week with a neck injury. Like a dozen of his teammates, Roy was limited.

Here’s the full injury report for both the Patriots and Colts:
