The Dallas Cowboys need a lot of help on defense. Fortunately for them, they possess two first-round picks to begin fixing that side of the ball.
That’s exactly what CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli predicted the Cowboys to do in his newest 2026 NFL Draft first round mock this week.
At No. 12 overall, Fornelli predicted the Cowboys to pick versatile Ohio State defender Sonny Styles. Then, at No. 20, Fornelli slotted Auburn edge rusher Keldric Faulk to Dallas.
The Cowboys own the No. 20 overall pick because of their Micah Parsons trade with the Green Bay Packers last August.
Depending on the analysis, pundits could see the Cowboys picking either player where they are selecting in the first round as bold choices. In Fornelli’s mock, Styles is the third Ohio State defender off the board.
According to NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah, Faulk is a bit of a reach at No. 20 overall. Jeremiah has the edge rusher rated as his No. 27 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
