Patriots, A.J. Brown Trade Rumors Reignite When Wideout Admits He Used To ‘Hate’ Mike Vrabel

suring his chat with Edelman and Gronk, saying that he used to “hate” New England head coach Mike Vrabel.

The three-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher and the two-time AP Coach of the Year spent three seasons together with the Tennessee Titans from 2019 to 2021.

“He wants to make sure you’re staying engaged and he’s going to go over the keys to victory of the week,” Brown said of how Vrabel used to run meetings with the Titans. “You better know them by the back of your hand. I used to write in my notebook because at the time, I really didn’t like Vrabes. I didn’t like him, and I admit that he knows that. So, I used to write, ‘I hate Vrabes, I hate Vrabes, I hate Vrabes.'”

Fortunately, Brown and Vrabel’s relationship improved of the former’s three years in Tennessee.

“When I say he holds every single player accountable from top to bottom, I don’t care who it is, like that’s who he is,” the 28-year-old said. “And it makes the team come together because nobody is bigger than the team. Nobody is bigger than the program, so you have to respect it.”

Brown was eventually traded from the Titans to the Eagles in April 2022 and could soon be on the move again.

The former second-round pick finished the 2025 season with 78 catches for 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
