Browns Named Best Fit for Impact Left Tackle as Part of O-Line Revamp

The Cleveland Browns have all five starting offensive linemen as free agents, and the team could replace them all.

Cleveland has been linked to using both of their first-round picks on offensive line help, especially tackles. However, the Browns could address their need at tackle in free agency. ESPN NFL insider Matt Bowen named Cleveland the best fit for Green Bay Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker.

“With needs across the offensive line, the Browns should target Walker, the top offensive tackle on our board,” Bowen wrote. “His pass block win rate of 93.8% with the Packers ranked 11th among 68 qualifying offensive tackles in 2025, and he should be viewed as an upgrade in Cleveland, as new coach Todd Monken rebuilds the front.”

Walker was a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. But he’s developed into a legitimate starting left tackle in the NFL. He’s spent his entire career with the Packers and is in line for a massive payday this free agency. Bowen ranked Walker his eighth-best free agent.

Browns O-Linemen Won’t Return in 2026

Cleveland’s offensive line will look much different in 2026.

The Browns have all five starters as free agents, and Wyatt Teller announced on Instagram that he won’t return to Cleveland.

“I wish things were different and this is hard to put into words. When Buffalo traded me to Cleveland seven years ago, I never could have imagined how much this city would mean to me,” Teller wrote in a note shared on social media. “Ultimately, the Browns took a chance on me that changed the trajectory of my life forever.

“To the most loyal fans in the NFL, I hope y’all know that you have made a mark on my family’s life forever. I proposed to Carly on the 50-yard line at the stadium, bought our first home here, and proudly welcomed both of our babies to the world in Cleveland.”

Teller has been with the Browns since 2019, and he’s grateful for all the friends he made along the way.

“I’ve made friendships and connections on and off the field that will last far beyond the game of football. Our family is so blessed and grateful for everyone in Northeast Ohio who has supported and loved us these past seven years,” Teller said. “While we are excited and look forward to what the future holds, Cleveland will always have a special place in our hearts. As always… Go Browns!”

Teller served as the Browns’ starting right guard and is a three-time Pro Bowler.

Analyst Expects Browns to Pursue O-Line Help

The Cleveland Browns have plenty of draft ammo, and one analyst expects them to address their offensive line.

NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network believes the Browns should use both of their first-round picks on tackles.

“Yeah, I mean they don’t have an offensive line. so I mean you have find guys to run out there,” Jeremiah said. “So that’s where we will see what they can accomplish in a free agency. But they’ve got to have a heavy investment there. I think there’s two offensive tackles that are in that range up there with (Miami’s Francis) Mauigao, and (Utah’s Spencer) Fano. But there’s also opportunities for them if they wanted to wait, they could get one at 24. I propose the idea of doing both. Just getting your two tackles there and not really relying on Dawand Jones to stay healthy going forward.”

Whether or not the Browns will is uncertain, but the team needs to address its O-Line.
