According to court documents, a woman reported the alleged assault to Dedham Police, saying it happened while she was working for Diggs as a private chef.

The woman says he came into her bedroom and became angry during a dispute about money.

She accuses Diggs of hitting her in the face, and then trying to choke her.

Diggs denies the allegations, and his lawyer describes them as “unsubstantiated and uncorroborated”.

The Patriots have stood by Diggs since the charges were filed.

He will appear in a Dedham courtroom.
