The Green Bay Packers have a few key players set to hit free agency this offseason, including wide receiver Romeo Doubs.
Doubs posted one of his best seasons in 2025, tallying a career-high 724 receiving yards, along with 55 receptions and six touchdowns.
The 25-year-old is slated to be one of the top receivers on the free agency market in March, and Sportsnaut’s Matt Johnson predicts Doubs will depart Green Bay to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Here is what Johnson had to say about the Raiders and why they should lure Doubs away from the Packers:
“The Las Vegas Raiders must build a receiving corps to support rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza. There is not a true No. 1 wide receiver likely to be available in NFL free agency, but there are dependable pass-catchers who could excel in an expanded role. Romeo Doubs can make incredible catches in tight coverage, has good hands, and is a willing blocker. A multiyear deal worth more than $12 million per season could land Las Vegas a viable No. 2 wide receiver who could help Mendoza for the next few seasons.”
With Las Vegas expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft, it would be wise for general manager John Spytek to upgrade the team’s lackluster receiver group.
Doubs would immediately step in as a top target on the Raiders’ offense, along with superstar tight end Brock Bowers, and provide consistent production. The Nevada product has posted over 600 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, and has done so in a more limited role than the one he would have in Las Vegas.
Spotrac believes Doubs will land a four-year deal worth $48 million, which matches Johnson’s $12 million annually projection. The Raiders are slated to have $87 million in cap space this offseason, so the team should be in a prime position to land Doubs in free agency and bolster one of the worst position groups in the NFL.
