Chiefs OL Creed Humphrey on Patrick Mahomes' presence since the injury

Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey spoke with reporters during Wednesday’s press conference, discussing quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ presence with the team since knee injury.

“Yeah, definitely. He’s (Patrick Mahomes) been around. He’s still helping out, leading guys. He’s been awesome to have even through injury when he’s not out there in every meeting, in practices, (and) all those things,” said Humphrey, “He’s still in the building being able to talk to guys. It’s been great, so he’s been awesome to have around.”

Mahomes is already attacking his rehab to prepare for a return to start the 2026 season. He was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate this season, but won’t be available to participate if necessary.

Humphrey was recently selected for his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl appearance. The Chiefs are sending four players to the Pro Bowl this season, as the 2026 Pro Bowl Games will move to Super Bowl LX Week in the San Francisco Bay Area. Travis Kelce, Chris Jones, and Trey Smith will join Humphrey in representing the Chiefs at the events.
