Joe Burrow gets all kinds of praise for Shedeur Sanders comments

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has caught major attention since his injury comeback for his thoughts on everything, ranging from his own feelings to clearly sending some messages to the Bengals front office.

But Burrow just went viral for a totally different reason: His kind comments about Cleveland Browns rookie passer Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders, the fifth-rounder getting more publicity than most, popped up in questions before Burrow’s Bengals take on the Browns in the season finale.

Burrow’s super-viral comment: “He’s certainly been under more of a microscope than any other 5th-round pick that has ever been in the history of football, and every clip that I see he seems to be handling it well.”

Sanders has been a magnet for attention in a Tim Tebow-like way well before he entered the NFL. No doubt he’s been in a bad situation in Cleveland for a lot of reasons, too.

So far, Sanders has appeared in seven games as a rookie, completing 57.4 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions for the 4-12 Browns.

Not only is Burrow right, given Sanders’ circumstances, it’s yet another small example of why Burrow is one of the most well-liked players around the NFL.
