šŸ”„ 3 Kansas City Chiefs Offensive Veterans Still Fighting for Pride in Week 18 vs. Raiders — You Won’t Believe What’s at Stake! šŸˆ

Dec 25, 2025; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown (5) misses a catch against Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt (29) at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

TheĀ Kansas City ChiefsĀ don’t have the postseason to play for, but several of their players have some personal at stake in the Week 18 game against theĀ Las Vegas Raiders.

For some veteran players on the Chiefs, it should and could be enough to keep them on the field in what ultimately amounts to a meaningless exhibition game against an AFC West rival. No, we’re not talking about 2026Ā NFL DraftĀ positioning here, though that’s something important for Kansas City in this down year. This is a matter of finances for a pair of players and a matter of personal achievement for another player who may be set to play his last game in the league.

Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown will be pursuing a big day in Las Vegas

There’s a reason that Chiefs QB Chris Oladokun targeted WR Hollywood Brown in the endzone against theĀ Denver BroncosĀ on Christmas Day. As things currently stand, Brown has 46 receptions for 523 yards and five touchdowns on the season. He’s earned over $1.5 million in contract incentives with those numbers, but he can early even more with a big performance in Week 18. If Brown gets two more touchdowns, he’ll earn another $500k in contract incentives for reaching seven touchdowns on the season. If he records 102 receiving yards, he’ll earn another $125K in contract incentives for reaching the 625 receiving-yard mark.

Kareem Hunt is close to cashing in a on a few contract incentives

Fans might not be thrilled about it with Brashard Smith and Dameon Pierce needing snaps late in the season, but Kareem Hunt could get some work in Week 18 because of the financial implications for the veteran running back. Right now, Hunt has played 48% of the offensive snaps. If he reaches 50% on the season, he’ll receive a playtime contract incentive worth $125K. That’s actually achievable if he gets a little over half the offensive snaps in Week 18. With 31 more scrimmage yards against the Raiders in Week 18, Hunt can earn an extra $25K in contract incentives for reaching 750 scrimmage yards.

Travis Kelce could be chasing one last record in Week 18 vs. the Raiders

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce already owns plenty of NFL and franchise records, but he could be chasing one more in the Week 18 game against the Raiders. At 12,990 receiving yards, Kelce is just 57 receiving yards away from surpassing Jason Witten (13,046) to move into second place all-time among tight ends in receiving yards. At that point, he’d trail only former Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez (15,127). As much of a bummer as the 2025 NFL season has been for what could be Kelce’s last dance, walking away as the No. 2 tight end in receiving yardage would be a nice consolation prize to going out in a blaze of glory in the playoffs.
