The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their 2025 regular season finale this Sunday, with the offseason heavy on the front office’s minds. A major topic will be the future of Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce as more details emerged recently, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
“Certainly is a possibility that Travis Kelce played his last game at Arrowhead this past week. He’s gonna take some time after the season is over to consider his fate and see what he wants to do, whether or not he wants to play a 14th season.” Rapoport said. “My understanding is, if he was gonna play, it wouldn’t be for anyone else besides the Chiefs.”
The 36-year-old Kelce earned his 11th consecutive Pro Bowl selection and enters Werk 18 with 73 catches for 839 yards and five touchdowns this season. He will be a free agent after this season, and the chances of a 14th season appear likely only through Kansas City.
The 2025 season was a reversal of fortune for the Chiefs as the three-time defending AFC champions missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
