BREAKING NEWS: Joe Burrow makes Bengals’ history in blowout win over Cardinals

Last week, the Cincinnati Bengals got a commanding win over the Miami Dolphins on the road, where Joe Burrow threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns.

Fast forward to Sunday, Burrow put up yet another outstanding performance on the Bengals’ home field after facing the Arizona Cardinals, leading the team to another dominating victory, 37-14. In fact, the game was so out of hand that Joe Flacco came in for relief of Burrow in the fourth quarter.

Burrow passed for another 300-yard game again with 305, and piled on two touchdowns in the process, which moved the quarterback into the organization’s record books.

After the second touchdown to wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase late in the first half, Burrow became tied for fourth with Carson Palmer, among Bengals’ quarterbacks, with 154.

This is an awe-inspiring feat considering Burrow hasn’t even played 100 total NFL games in his career, with just 76, and Palmer spent seven seasons with Cincinnati and played the entire season five times.

Andy Dalton, Ken Anderson, and Boomer Esiason are the only all-time Bengals signal callers in front of Burrow, and there is no doubt he will eventually own that record if he remains with the team for the long term.

Burrow's 2 TD passes and 2 TDs each by Chase and Chase lead Bengals to blowout win

For Burrow, the main challenge he faces is staying available. Over five seasons, he has played in every game in three of them, which is not bad per se. Still, whenever Burrow hasn’t been adequately protected, he has suffered multiple lower-body injuries, which are not conducive to the longevity of anyone’s career. Let alone a quarterback.
