Patrick Mahomes Called Out For Behavior During Chiefs’ Loss

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been called out for his behavior during his team’s loss on Christmas Night.

The Chiefs, who will miss the playoffs this year, hosted the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Night. It was one of three NFL games being played on Christmas Day. The Cowboys took on the Commanders and the Vikings took on the Lions earlier in the day. The Broncos wrapped up the day with a big road win over the Chiefs.

Kansas City, 6-10 on the season, will be sitting at home come January.

“It’s frustrating, man, it’s frustrating,” Travis Kelce said of the Chiefs season. “I feel like I can’t even look my guy, coach Andy Reid, in his eyes right now, just because I feel like I disappointed or I just let him down in some way, somehow throughout the year.”

The Christmas Night game was a close one for much of the contest, before the Broncos ultimately pulled away in the fourth quarter.

When Denver scored a key touchdown late in the contest, cameras cut to Mahomes – who is recovering from ACL surgery – and the three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback was seen smiling.

NFL fans react to Mahomes’ behavior

NFL fans are debating why Mahomes was smiling following a touchdown from the opposition.

“Surprised Mahomes isn’t sitting on the sidelines with the team during the game. Not sitting in the a suite,” one fan wrote.

“Saw this also when watching live. Was certainly a bit of an odd reaction,” another fan wrote.

“He thinking about that draft pick,” one fan added.

“Happy about your team going lower in the draft. Wish the Vikings would lose and I would be smiling,” another fan wrote.
