Cleveland Browns news (12/28): One final game for the home fans

Cleveland Browns news (12/28): One final game for the home fans | Dawgs By Nature

The Cleveland Browns will give it a go for the final time in front of the home fans today when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It is expected to be a wet and rainy afternoon at Huntington Bank Field for the AFC’s oldest rivalry. The Browns will attempt to strike a balance between their desire to end a four-game losing streak and the need to secure a high first-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Steelers, meanwhile, are eying the playoffs, where they will undoubtedly have their sixth consecutive one-and-done experience under head coach Mike Tomlin, who has not led Pittsburgh to a postseason victory since 2016.

In an odd twist, CBS has sent its No. 1 announcing team to town for the game, rather than have Jim Nantz and Tony Romo in Carolina or Indianapolis, so that should be interesting.

Looking at the rest of the day’s schedule, there are only a pair of games in the late-afternoon window, but both are intriguing for different reasons.

Philadelphia at Buffalo should be entertaining, while in Sin City, the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders will be working hard to hand each other a victory as they race to the No. 1 overall selection in next year’s draft.

Let’s get the day rolling with the latest news about the Browns and the NFL with today’s edition of the Sunday Dawg Chow.
