BREAKING : Packers Announce Major News for Ravens Game

Packers Announce Major News for Ravens Game - Yahoo Sports

The Green Bay Packers take on the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday (12/27) at home and they will be without starting QB Jordan Love.

Love has a shoulder injury along with the concussion he suffered against the Chicago Bears last week in Chicago.

“It’s just a very delicate issue, you know what I’m saying in terms of, we’ve seen it with certain guys they come in, they feel great one day and then the next day they don’t,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said earlier this week. “So it kind of is a little bit of a moving target.”

Malik Willis, who played well against the Bears after taking over for Love, is expected to start against the Ravens.

The Packers are 9-5-1 on the season. They are in second place in the NFC North and currently hold the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC.

Meanwhile, the Ravens are 7-8. They are in second place in the AFC North and not in the AFC playoffs at the moment.

Green Bay lost to Chicago in overtime by a final score of 22-16 on a Caleb Williams game-winning TD pass to DJ Moore. Willis went 9-11 through the air for 121 yards and one touchdown in relief of Love. He also carried the ball 10 times for 44 yards.

Willis has played in three games this season for the Packers. He has 134 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 63 rushing yards.

Green Bay must beat Baltimore to keep pace with Chicago in the NFC North. The Bears are 11-4 and face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.

The Packers clinched a playoff spot on Thursday when they watched the Detroit Lions lose to the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay can still win the NFC North if it wins its final two games and the Bears lose their last two.

Love has 3,381 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns on the season. It’s unknown how long he will be sidelined for.

The Packers’ final game of the regular season is against the Vikings on the road.
