Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is having another great season despite the Cincinnati Bengals having twice as many losses as they do wins. Chase is up to 110 receptions and 1,256 receiving yards on the year after catching nine passes for 109 yards Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Those numbers will stand out every year on the Pro Bowl ballot, which is why Chase led all AFC wideouts in fan balloting for the 2026 Pro Bowl Games.
The official Pro Bowl rosters have not been announced yet, but with fan voting now officially closed, it’s safe for Chase to plan yet another trip for the NFL’s annual all-star festivities.
Ja’Marr Chase is a virtual lock for his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl honor
Chase started his NFL career with four straight Pro Bowl nods, joining Isaac Curtis and A.J. Green as the third-ever Bengals player (and receiver) to do so. He now has a strong chance of making it five straight, which only Green managed in his career.
Fan-voting only counts for one-third in determining Pro Bowl player selections, with the other thirds coming from players and coaches in the formulation of a consensus. Chase needs more than just support from fans, but leading the entire position group for an entire conference speaks volumes on its own, and the 25-year old is also well respected among his peers and coaches from around the league. He also ranks second in receptions and fourth in yards through 16 weeks.
In short, Chase missing the Pro Bowl this year would be an absolute stunner. Unfortunately, it may also be a surprise if any of his teammates received the same level of respect.
Chase garnered the fifth-most fan votes among all receivers, but only one other Bengal finished in the top 10 for fan voting at his position. Charlie Jones also had the fifth-most votes for return specialists. Only two return specialists make it per year, one per conference, whereas eight receivers with four from each conference make up the annual rosters.
The AFC and NFC player rosters will be announced Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET. Expect Chase to get news he’s heard four times already in his career.
