BREAKING: Myles Garrett is determined to break sack record at home against Bills

Even though the Cleveland Browns are having a great season by any means, one of the only bright spots they’ve had is the elite play from defensive end Myles Garrett.

The pass rusher has consistently been among the best, alongside guys like T.J. Watt and Micah Parsons, since entering the league in 2017; in fact, since then, Garrett has recorded 10 or more sacks in each season after his rookie season.

However, this has by far been his best season, and he is on the cusp of breaking the single-season sacks record, which is currently shared by Watt and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, who both had 22.5 sacks.

Garrett is likely to find himself solely at the top of the mountain, only needing 1.5 sacks to break the record with three games left to play, including Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

Last week, the Browns suffered a lopsided loss to the Chicago Bears, and Garrett got to Caleb Williams multiple times, but it wasn’t enough to tie or break the record. The two even joked about it during post-game handshakes, with Williams telling the defensive end, “I couldn’t let you get it on me.”

However, Garrett sees the good in the situation, as he now has the opportunity to make history in front of the home crowd.

When asked about the record on Friday, Garrett added, “I want it here in front of the fans.” He would later also declare that getting the win is still the top priority.

The Browns will also be at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers next week, meaning Garrett has two chances to deliver on that wish to the fans.
