The Kansas City Chiefs needed to lose to the Los Angeles Chargers and other scenarios needed to happen in order for the Chiefs to miss the playoffs. Well, Kansas City lost to Los Angeles 16-13 on Sunday.
The other scenarios that also occurred was the Buffalo Bills, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Houston Texans all winning. Because of it, the Chiefs are officially eliminated from playoff contention this season. Kansas City had been in seven straight AFC Championship Games, and they have made the Super Bowl five times in the last seven seasons and won three titles. There will be a new AFC Champion this season and maybe the dynasty is also over for them as well.
NFL Fans Super Excited About the Kansas City Chiefs Missing the Playoffs This Season
There are many NFL fans who are super pumped that they will not be seeing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the playoffs this season. Many people were experiencing Chiefs fatigue. With this team being out with three games remaining, it will be interesting to see if they don’t play as hard or if they will play hard. Gardner Minshew will probably be the starting quarterback the rest of the season because of Patrick Mahomes tearing ACL. With that being said, they currently have a 6-8 record this season and will get a good draft pick this upcoming NFL Draft.
