Packers RT Zach Tom leaves Broncos game with knee injury

Packers RT Zach Tom leaves Broncos game with knee injury - Yahoo Sports

On the Green Bay Packers’ second-quarter touchdown pass to running back Josh Jacobs, right tackle Zach Tom, who has been dealing with a back issue this year, went down with a knee injury that required attention on the sideline. As of now, the Packers have declared Tom questionable to return with the knee designation.

It’s uncertain who will be Tom’s replacement, as that job generally goes to Anthony Belton, who is now starting at right guard after recent offensive line shuffles. The two candidates for the position, assuming that Belton won’t be moving off of his starting spot, are Darian Kinnard and Jordan Morgan.

Kinnard rotates in at tight end in six offensive line looks, which the Packers obviously won’t be able to use anymore if they play Kinnard at tackle. Morgan previously rotated at right guard with the team until Sean Rhyan was forced to the center position following Elgton Jenkins’ injury. Once Morgan took over full-time at right guard, the team elected to displace him for Belton, so that the run game would get a little more push up front.

We’ll keep you updated on Tom’s status as we progress throughout the game.

Update:

Kinnard is the one who is replacing Tom for the two-minute drill, as Tom remains on the sideline.
