BREAKING: Travis Kelce made a tough decision after drop-turned-INT cost Chiefs game vs. Texans

Travis Kelce didn’t have a banner night on Sunday. On two plays on the Kansas City Chiefs’ most crucial drive of the clash with the Houston Texans, Kelce dropped passes from Patrick Mahomes. The second pass didn’t just leave Kelce’s hands — it ended up in Houston’s lap for an interception.

Chiefs' Travis Kelce Sends Blunt Warning to Texans Ahead of Must-Win Game - Newsweek

The Chiefs fell to 6-7 when the Texans put the game out of reach with an ensuing field goal, and this bumpy season might be ending sooner than anyone in Kansas City is used to.

After the game, Kelce chose not to speak to reporters to share his thoughts.

ESPN’s Nate Taylor shared on X that Kelce was one of the last players in uniform but declined to talk.

It’s tough to blame Kelce, really. This one had to be tough.

It’s surely frustrating for the Kansas City media, but at this point, there’s nothing they can do. They’ll have to wait to see if he shares any thoughts on his next podcast episode.

NBC color commentator Cris Collinsworth summed it up well, anyway:

Travis Kelce nearly in TEARS on Kansas City Chiefs bench after his vital drop all but ends playoff hopes in Texans loss

“The faces of champions are really struggling to comprehend what is happening to this football season… This was a breakdown across the board of the people that have made this franchise great over the past decade.”

Kelce sat on the bench after his drops with a look of disbelief on his face. He simply just couldn’t fathom what was happening to him and this team that normally find themselves in much different circumstances.
