Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees made his feelings clear on the viral argument between Shedeur Sanders and Jerry Jeudy on the sideline.

Jeudy was frustrated with Sanders, and not getting the ball during the Browns’ blowout home loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. The clip went viral of the argument and the two have both put it behind them.

Yet, on Thursday, Rees was asked about the spat and also tried to put it behind the offense.

“Yeah, it’s a competitive game,” Rees said on Thursday. “That’s behind us at this point. I don’t have any concern about their relationship, where they are, being on the same page. I think, look, everybody’s competitive, wants to play well and win games and do things the right way. So, that’s something they’ve had a conversation on. That’s completely behind us and moving forward.”

When asked what the argument was about, Rees wouldn’t get into specifics. Instead, the Browns’ OC just said the two have handled it and are moving on from it.

“I don’t want to get into all the specifics there, except for the fact that it’s a competitive environment, competitive game. Those guys have handled it, and we’re all moving together on the same page,” Rees added.

Jeudy finished the game with three receptions for 26 yards.

Browns OC Pleased With Sanders’ Play

Sanders had just his second career start and second week of practice with the first-team offense ahead of the 49ers matchup.

Although the Browns’ offense struggled at times, Rees was pleased that Sanders didn’t turn the ball over. He also feels like the rookie is getting better every week, but there are some plays he’d like back.

“There’s certainly some opportunities he probably wants back, and that’s going to happen with a young player. You’re seeing things, and things are moving quicker than you’re used to. And every rep he gets, every opportunity he gets, he’s going to get more and more comfortable. There’s always going to be plays you want back. …

“In the same vein, he makes a lot of those plays too. So, it’s building comfort across the game plan, across the concepts, across the coverages he could see to make sure that we can maximize all the opportunities we have. But he’s done a nice job, throughout the week, of communicating and seeing things, and ‘hey, I need another rep of this because I want to see it again’. All those points are really positive and moving in the right direction.”

Sanders has thrown for 405 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in his three appearances this season. He will get his third-straight start on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Sanders & Jeudy Discuss Viral Argument

As Rees noted, the Browns’ offense is moving on from the viral argument between Sanders and Jeudy.

On Wednesday, Sanders made it clear that the two have resolved it and aren’t going to speak on it.

“We resolved that,” Sanders said on Wednesday. “We’re not gonna speak on that.”

Jeudy, meanwhile, said that’s the emotions of football, and the two are good.

“We spoke about it,” Jeudy said. “We’re good. It’s an emotional sport. Things happen in football.”

Although the two claim they are good, whether or not that will lead to more production from Jeudy in Week 14 is to be seen.
