🔥 BREAKING Update: Andy Reid Reveals Surprising Offensive Line Plans for Week 14 — What’s Changing for the Chiefs? 🤔💥

Chiefs HC Andy Reid on offensive line plans heading into Week 14

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke with reporters on Wednesday about plans for the offensive line amid injuries to starters.

“One positive is two of the three of them played against them (Texans) last year (and) did a good job,” said Reid, referring to Jaylon Moore and Wanya Morris stepping up, “They know what they’re up against. That’s a great defensive front – great defense. I mean, all three levels are really good, and they’re number one in a lot of categories there defensively. But those guys are getting themselves ready to go.”

Rookie starting left tackle Josh Simmons was placed on injured reserve after undergoing wrist surgery. Reid addressed his replacement while assessing the injury recovery of right tackle Jawaan Taylor.

“We’ll, see what happens with injury guys first,” said Reid, “But yeah, he’ll (Jaylon Moore) probably be at the right tackle and Wanya (Morris) at the left if that’s the way it went.”

The Chiefs elevated practice squad offensive lineman Esa Pole last week, and he has been announced as Simmons’ replacement on the active roster.

“We thought we saw some talent there, and he (Esa Pole) knows the scheme obviously,” said Reid, “We thought there was some growth. He could be a guy that works in somewhere.”

The offensive line is going through a significant reshuffling due to injuries, raising concerns for this Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans and beyond.
