Will Tee Higgins return in Week 14? Latest injury update on Bengals wide receiver

The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t have the services of wide receiver Tee Higgins in the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

That’s because Higgins came down with a concussion in the Week 12 contest that forced his early exit, and he even had to be carted off the field. Higgins didn’t practice at all last week before being ruled out.

After not having progressed through the concussion protocol last week, is there any chance that Higgins returns in Week 14?

Here’s the latest.

Will Tee Higgins return in Week 14?

Right now, we’d put Higgins chances of playing at 50/50.

Higgins didn’t make any progress in the protocol last week after he didn’t log a single practice.

And, given the fact that he was carted off and then ruled out early in the week, it appears Higgins’ concussion might be on the more serious side.

If so, a multi-week absence is likely.

On Monday, head coach Zac Taylor revealed that Higgins is still in the protocol.

“Bengals WR Tee Higgins is still in concussion protocol, coach Zac Taylor said,” ESPN’s Ben Baby reported.

However, Higgins was in uniform for the team’s walk-through, and another report suggested the veteran wideout was in “great spirits.”

“Tee Higgins was in uniform for today’s walkthrough. Back in the locker room,” beat writer Mike Petraglia wrote.

“Tee Higgins was in great spirits in the Bengals locker room today. Higgins is doing well as he works through concussion protocol per Zac Taylor,” NBC 5 Cincinnati’s Charlie Clifford reported.

Plenty of mixed signals with all that information, which is why we’d put Higgins’ status as a toss-up for now.

We’ll get our next update on Wednesday, when the Bengals drop their first injury report of the week. If Higgins logs any semblance of participation, it’ll be a good sign for his chances of suiting up.
