Thanksgiving night was a thrilling one for Cincinnati Bengals fans everywhere with the return of superstar quarterback Joe Burrow against the Baltimore Ravens.

Zac Taylor and the Cincinnati Bengals posted a whopping 1-8 record during Burrow’s absence, but his return sparked an impressive win over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens on the road.

Bengals fans were hoping to see Burrow make his return against the New England Patriots last week after a full week of practice, but that did not happen, as Taylor said QB1 needed four more days to get ready.

Burrow recently shared some insight on the whole process surrounding his return with Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, saying, “The plan all along was Buffalo.”

“And then as we got closer to these games, it was feeling pretty dang good. And so then it moved up to tonight (Thanksgiving). And that would allow me to get two full weeks of practice in before this game. And those (practices) felt pretty good. And then we made the decision to think about it last week (against the Patriots). And at the end of the day, I didn’t, but I was prepared to,” Burrow shared.

Regardless of past games, it is incredible to see Burrow back on the field so quickly after the brutal toe injury back in September, and it is clear he is playing with a different passion down the stretch.

“I’m just trying to find the fun in it again,” Burrow told Breer. “These last three years have been pretty brutal with two injuries, and then the season we had last year. It’s been a while since I was able to have fun doing this. And so I’m just trying to find that again. And the only way I can do that is by playing. You’re not going to have any fun by watching everybody else play. That’s for sure.”

Will Burrow’s return be enough for the Bengals to win out and steal the division this season? Time will tell.
