Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has seen a rapid rise in popularity this season.

Case in point: Maye currently leads the NFL in early Pro Bowl voting.

Maye has accumulated 31,452 votes since balloting began on Nov. 27. The next leading vote getter, Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, has 27,162 votes. The next leading quarterback, Rams starter Matthew Stafford, has 24,335 votes. Voting ends Monday, Dec. 15.

The Patriots are 10-2 with Maye as their starter this season. He’s one of the NFL MVP favorites, completing 71.0% of his passes for 3,130 yards with 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He’s also rushed 75 times for 307 yards with two touchdowns.

Maye currently leads the NFL in completion percentage and is second in passer rating and yards per attempt, third in QBR, third in passing yards and fifth in passing touchdowns.

The Pro Bowl Games take place Tuesday, February 3, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, during Super Bowl week. The format includes a 7-on-7 flag football game.

Pro Bowl rosters are typically announced in early January.

Other Patriots players currently in the top 10 in voting at their respective positions include center Garrett Bradbury (ninth), cornerbacks Marcus Jones (seventh) and Christian Gonzalez (ninth), free safety Jaylinn Hawkins (10th), long snapper Julian Ashby (fifth), outside linebacker Harold Landry III (ninth), special teams player Brenden Schooler (fifth) and tight end Hunter Henry (fifth).

Maye made the Pro Bowl Games as an alternate in 2025. Schooler was the Patriots’ only other selection. The Patriots had zero Pro Bowl Games representatives in 2024.
