According to “Eras Tour” opening act Beabadoobee, it’s Taylor Swift’s personal choice to remain sober while on tour. That is, the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter does not consume alcohol while she’s working her five-continent, year-and-a-half-long tour, which is set to end in a couple of weeks’ time.
As it turns out, Travis Kelce also has to live by a similar rule. Remaining sober is not a policy that Swift has imposed on her boyfriend of more than a year. Rather, it’s an important rule that the Kansas City Chiefs implement.
In a recent interview with People, Chariah Gordon, the fiancée of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., revealed that the players have a set of rules that they are required to strictly abide by. One of them involves the consumption of alcohol.
Apparently, Chiefs players are strictly prohibited from drinking alcohol the night before games.
“The ship is tight over here,” said Gordon, adding that it’s actually the players’ wives and girlfriends (WAGs) who get to enjoy the nightlife during team road trips.
“But the girls, we get together. We’re like, ‘Hey, do you want to do dinner? Are we going to go out? What do you want to do?’ So, we do the partying for them.”
Swift and Kelce know how to have a good time, and it’s not as if they hide the fact that they enjoy the occasional night out. However, what cannot be denied is that these two take their craft very seriously. A testament to this fact is how Swift is arguably the biggest artist on the planet right now while Kelce is on a quest to win his third straight Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs.
For them, drinking is fine when they’re not on the clock, so to speak, but the general rule they both abide by is strictly no alcohol at work.
