✨ Chiefs Receive Encouraging Update on DB Bryan Cook’s Week 13 Injury — But What Does It Mean for Sunday? 🤔🔥

Chiefs receive uplifting news regarding DB Bryan Cook's Week 13 injury

The Kansas City Chiefs are 6-6 with five games remaining this season following their Thanksgiving Day loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The gloomy situation received a small surge of optimism over the weekend regarding an injured starter.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, defensive back Bryan Cook avoided a high-ankle sprain on Thursday, a promising sign that the injury’s severity may not keep him off the field long-term.

Cook has been one of Kansas City’s most consistent players on defense this season. He has collected 50 total tackles, 33 of those solo, while adding four pass breakups. The starting safety has been a constant presence on the field every game this year, and his absence was felt after leaving Week 13 early.

The Chiefs’ defense, especially the secondary, struggled in the second half as Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott carved through the unit. Dallas’ MVP candidate finished Thursday’s victory, completing 27 of 39 passes for 329 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
