With Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving, Taylor Swift will be riding solo.

The Chiefs face a big game as they try to climb back into the playoff bracket, coming off a come-from-behind win over the Indianapolis Colts and looking to build some momentum. They will spend the holiday facing a Cowboys team coming off their own comeback, having erased a 21-point deficit to beat the Philadelphia Eagles.

Millions of Americans are expected to tune in for the Thanksgiving afternoon game, and Swift will likely be among them.

Taylor Swift Staying Home as Travis Kelce Goes to Dallas

As The Daily Mail noted, Kelce was seen touching down in Dallas without his famous fiancee.

“The legendary Chiefs tight end will be spending the national holiday on the football field this year, coming as a major blow for his fiancee Taylor Swift,” the report noted.

“Taylor, who enjoyed a steak dinner with Travis and his uncle in Kansas City earlier this week, is not expected to make the trip to Texas given she has not attended a Chiefs road game since their playoff win at the Baltimore Ravens in January 2024.”

The report added that the last time Swift watched a game away from Arrowhead Stadium was a neutral site — last season’s Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Swift stopped attending all away games after the 2023 season, the first one that she and Kelce spent together after going official as a couple earlier that summer. A report indicated that Swift had major concerns about security outside the controlled environment of Kansas City’s home stadium.

“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” a source told the New York Post’s Page Six.

Kelce will likely remain focused on the game and its major playoff implications. The Chiefs are just outside a playoff spot at 6-5 and will need a win and some help to get back into a postseason spot. Kelce is having a productive season despite not having a 100-yard game this season.

He has 54 receptions for 674 yards and four touchdowns — leading the team in all three categories.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he hopes the team can continue to build off the momentum of last week’s win.

“This was big,” Mahomes said. “We’re kind of proving to ourselves that we can play this kind of game, where it’s not always pretty. Now, we just have to build off of that momentum.”

Taylor Swift Could Spend the Holiday With Family

While she and Travis won’t be together for Thanksgiving dinner, Swift could be spending the holiday with other members of the Kelce family. Speaking on her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast this week, future sister-in-law Kylie Kelce revealed that Swift is a mean cook.

“We do have some well-known bakers in the family,” said the wife of former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce. “Taylor makes a banging sourdough loaf. I mean, it’s so good. And pop-tarts.”

Kylie Kelce shared that she is letting other members of the family take care of the cooking on Thanksgiving, but it’s not clear if that includes Swift.
