BREAKING : Is Ja’Marr Chase playing tonight? Latest update on Bengals WR’s return from suspension

The Cincinnati Bengals were short-handed at wide receiver last week thanks to the suspension of Ja’Marr Chase.

Chase was hit with a ban for spitting on Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey in Week 11, which forced him to sit out in Week 12.

Chase has since issued a public apology to the Bengals and their fans, and to the Steelers, although Ramsey’s name was not included in that.

“What I did was wrong,” Chase said. “The circumstances don’t matter. My passion for the game is no excuse. There’s zero place in our sport — or in life — for that level of disrespect.”

Looking ahead to the Week 13 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night, here’s the latest on Chase’s status.

Is Ja’Marr Chase playing tonight?

Yes, Chase will be playing in Week 13 against the Ravens.

Chase’s suspension was only for one game and he has already served it. He was reinstated from the suspension earlier in the week.

Chase’s return from suspension comes in the same week that the Bengals are getting quarterback Joe Burrow back. Burrow had been out since September with a turf toe injury.

Chase was still posting elite production with quarterback Joe Flacco under center in place of Burrow, but there’s no question he’s better off with the Bengals superstar playing.

Cincinnati will have to lean on Chase even more this week, as the team won’t have the services of fellow wide receiver Tee Higgins, who is out due to a concussion.

So, as good as Chase has been this season, there’s an opportunity for him to produce even more moving forward.
