Analyst reveals most 'impressive' element of Cowboys stunning Eagles win image

The Dallas Cowboys’ 24-21 win over the Philadelphia Eagles was a classic tale of two halves.

The first was an embarrassment until the Cowboys scored a touchdown late in the second quarter to cut a 21-0 lead to 21-7.

Then Dallas sprang to life in the second half, as Dak Prescott and the offense rolled through the Eagles’ defense in a way we haven’t seen this season, while the defense contained Philadelphia’s attack and didn’t allow any points in the entire second half.

It was nearly perfect football for a half, and for NFL.com’s Eric Edholm, the fact that Dallas did what it did to the Eagles’ defense was impressive.

4 Takeaways From the Cowboys' Win Over the Eagles | FOX Sports

“The Cowboys spent the first half repeatedly shooting themselves in the feet, digging a 21-0 hole for themselves in the process,” Edholm wrote. “But they peeled themselves off the turf and started chipping away at the Eagles and starting a rollicking comeback — tied for the biggest in franchise history — and a stunning win over the Eagles. That the comeback came against a defense the caliber of the Eagles was even more impressive.”

Cowboys must go again in season-saving mode vs. Chiefs

Yes, Dallas’ win over the Eagles was superb, but Cowboys Nation can’t rest easy, because at 5-5-1, they are still very much on the outside looking in at the postseason.

A win over the Chiefs, who themselves are in trouble, would be great, but then the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, and Los Angeles Chargers are on the schedule, so it is a tough task for this Cowboys team to make the playoffs.

But it starts with a single game.

They beat the Eagles, now they must go again, and end Kansas City’s season at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving.
