BREAKING: Report on Kevin Stefanski’s Browns future despite rumors, speculation

Kevin Stefanski's Browns future: Adam Schefter weighs in on rumors, speculation - Dawgs By Nature

As the Cleveland Browns prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football, rumors and speculation have swirled that HC Kevin Stefanski could be on the hot seat if the team loses. Most of that is due to concerns about the team’s performance in Week 11, and the season as a whole, and Jimmy Haslam’s history of firing coaches after a loss to the Steelers.

For his part, Stefanksi is not worried about being on the hot seat or his job.

Given the speculation, we’ve asked the question about whether Mike Vrabel would make sense to step in and how many wins might secure Stefanski’s job despite a tough finishing schedule.

All the rumors and speculation could be for naught as ESPN’s Adam Schefter joins a number of national reporters that have thrown cold water on the idea of Stefanski on the hot seat:

What I’ve heard matches with what Schefter and others are saying. Not only did Stefanski, and GM Andrew Berry, sign extensions this offseason but they’ve proven to be able to win in Cleveland. While neither is perfect, that is not the expectation for any coach or general manager.

The 2024 Browns season has been a tough one but it does not seem likely to cost any of the main decision-makers their job. Anything can change with seven games left in the season but, despite the rumors and speculation, fans should expect more of the same in 2025 in terms of decision makers.
