BREAKING : Micah Parsons hit with NFL fine after quiet outing in Packers’ loss to Eagles

The Green Bay Micah Parsons era hit another speed bump in Week 10. His Packers dropped to 5-3-1 after a gritty 10-7 loss to Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, their second straight defeat following a puzzling 16-13 stumble against Carolina the week before.

Parsons had another forgettable afternoon. He managed just two tackles with no sacks or tackles for loss, continuing a troubling trend of disappearing when his team needs him most.

It marked back-to-back games without getting to the quarterback, the kind of stretch that raises eyebrows for someone carrying his reputation. Then came the cherry on top of an already frustrating day.

With 4:08 left in the fourth quarter, Saquon Barkley picked up five yards and a first down before Parsons finished the stop. The officials didn’t throw a flag during the game, but the NFL office wasn’t letting this one slide.

According to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro, Parsons has been fined $12,172 for unnecessary roughness, which covers everything from striking and kicking to tripping and kneeing.

For Micah Parsons, getting fined is becoming routine business at this point. Another week, another charge added to his growing collection.

He’s been vocal about his beef with officiating this season, claiming the league protects offensive players too much while hammering defenders for the slightest contact. This fine probably just validated everything he’s been saying.

However, he did trip Barkley, and Green Bay caught a break when the refs missed it live. The league was always going to circle back once the tape got reviewed.

As for the financial sting? It’s pocket change. Green Bay locked Micah Parsons down with a four-year, $186 million deal that included $136 million guaranteed and a signing bonus north of $44 million. Cutting that check probably won’t even make him blink.
