🔥 Chiefs’ Path Clears? AFC Rival Suffers Major Setback — Could Kansas City Claim Another Division Crown? 👀

The NFL doesn’t care too much about how big your wins are. At the end of the day, wins and losses is what matters most. Point differential could play a role in tiebreakers, but it isn’t the main one. So despite the Kansas City Chiefs owning the sixth-best point differential in the entire league, they are currently outside of the playoff picture.

Losses to the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars have the Chiefs on the outside looking in. Being 2.5 games back in the AFC West isn’t helping matters, but there’s a lot of season left for Kansas City to make up ground. That starts this upcoming week in a road date against the Denver Broncos, who are currently leading the division. This week, the Broncos were dealt a brutal blow, which Patrick Mahomes and co. can take advantage of.

Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins out for the season with foot injury

Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins was placed on Injured Reserve with a lisfranc injury that will require surgery. He’s set to miss the rest of the regular season and possibly all of the playoffs. Dobbins was having a fantastic first season in Denver, averaging 5.0 yards per carry as the main early down back.

Dobbins was playing so well that second round rookie running back RJ Harvey could barely get on the field, surpassing 33% of the offensive snaps in only one game this season. Now, Harvey will step into the featured role, with Jaleel McLaughlin and Tyler Badie backing him up.

Denver losing a key player like Dobbins can only be good news for the Chiefs. Kansas City needs all the help it can get in order for the Broncos to falter a few times before the end of the season. With an 8-2 record, Denver has some margin for error and injuries. But a Chiefs win on Sunday could shift everything.
