Bengals place rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart on reserve/injured list with knee injury

Bengals place rookie DE Shemar Stewart on reserve/injured list

The Cincinnati Bengals placed rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart on the reserve/injured list Nov. 15, meaning Stewart will miss at least the next four games because of a knee injury.

He was ruled out earlier in the week for the team’s Week 11 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has played in just five games this season.

Stewart suffered a right ankle injury during the fourth quarter of the team’s home-opening Week 2 win against Jacksonville. Stewart appeared to get rolled up on by then-teammate Logan Wilson.

On July 27, Stewart practiced with the team for the first time since reaching an agreement with the team on a rookie contract July 25. He did not agree to his deal with the Bengals before the rookie report date.

Stewart was the Bengals’ first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, 17th overall.

Stewart, who played three seasons for the Texas A&M Aggies, turns 22 years old in November. Stewart had 4.5 sacks over three college seasons.
