BREAKING : 🚨 Kansas City Chiefs Drop Alarming Update on Xavier Worthy — Is a Bigger Injury Crisis Brewing? 🤔

Kansas City Chiefs announces worrying news over Xavier Worthy as major injury concerns continue

XAVIER WORTHY is an injury worry for the Chiefs after an ankle injury limited his practice.

The 22-year-old was added to the Kansas City Chiefs‘ injury report on Thursday, according to the NFL Network.

He was listed as limited in their practice session ahead of their trip to the Broncos, having previously suffered a shoulder injury earlier in the season.

The shoulder blow caused him to miss a number of weeks and he has now suffered another setback.

Coach Andy Reid confirmed Worthy tweaked his ankle in Thursday’s practice ahead of their game against Denver on Sunday.

But he claimed the wide receiver “did everything” in Friday’s session and said he was “good to go” for the Denver game.

He has caught 24 passes for 256 yards in seven NFL games this season, while rushing seven times for 73 yards.

His shoulder injury came after being hit by team-mate Travic Kelce and went on to miss the first two games of the season.

But he then made up for lost time registering 11 receptions for 125 yards and 47 yards on the ground in his first two games back.

But he has been less involved in the offense in recent weeks and Reid was asked about his situation ahead of the Chiefs’ 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

He said: “Well, we try to get them all involved the best we can and some games you’re going to have that where they’re taking somebody away. That’s how it goes.

“That’s how the coverage goes, that how the play call goes and so on,” Reid said earlier this week.

“We’re not down on Xavier Worthy – we know he’s a good player and we like to get the ball into good players’ hands the best way we can. It just hasn’t rolled that way.”

Other players on the Chiefs’ injury list are defensive end George Karlafitis, who has a thumb injury and running back Isiah Pacheco with a knee injury.

Chiefs also have injury worries over Trey Smith, Josh Simmons, Jawaan Taylor, Charles Omenihu and Jaden Hicks.

The team will be eager to bounce back after their disappointing loss to rivals the Bills.

Patrick Mahomes‘ team were overcome as Josh Allen threw a touchdown pas and ran for two scores, while James Cook has 114 yards rushing.

Mahomes was sacked on three occasions and had the worst completion percentage of his career so far.

Reid took responsibility for the loss as he said: “We’ve got to do a little better than that, obviously, when you’re playing a good football team.

“It starts with me doing my job better and giving our guys an opportunity and put them in good positions where they can make some plays.

“I could’ve helped the guys out, and I didn’t do a very good job of that. And then we’ve got to obviously do a little better when given that opportunity.”
