The Green Bay Packers will need all hands on deck in a critical game against the Eagles on Monday Night Football. After the loss of tight end Tucker Kraft, some one else must step up to fill the void. That might mean simply funneling more balls to Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, but it would be helpful to have additional options.
Thankfully, two injured pass catchers, Dontayvion Wicks and Savion Williams, are trending in the right direction. Missing Kraft and facing an Eagles defense boosted by the trade deadline, the Packers offense will need as many weapons as possible in this one.
Wicks, Williams both in Friday practice
Wicks hasn’t played since Week 7 in Arizona, when he injured his calf and did not return for the second half. After sitting on the sidelines the past two weeks in practice, he rejoined the action yesterday and looked comfortable in his reps on Friday.
Williams logged a DNP Thursday with a foot injury, but he was back in the fold today as well.

While neither has stuffed the stat sheet this season, accounting for 27 total targets, Wicks and Williams add depth and versatility to the passing attack. Williams in particular is intriguing as a gadget player. He has eight carries on the season along with seven catches. In the bright lights in Pittsburgh, Williams hauled in the first touchdown of his career.
Wicks has 13 catches for 134 yards in five and a half games.
Elsewhere in the receiving corps, Matthew Golden is managing a shoulder injury that knocked him out of last week’s game. He, Wicks, and Williams all carry questionable tags on the injury report.
