Bengals bye week practice attendance sheet raises some eyebrows

The Cincinnati Bengals held a practice during the bye week that quickly gained some big attention once attendance sheets started making the rounds.

Once the public had hands on which players actually attended the light practice, the Bengals were quick to point out that it was mostly a session for first-and second-year players.

Some of the notables who attended, according to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer:

  • Kris Jenkins
  • Amarius Mims
  • Dylan Fairchild
  • Demetrius knight
  • Barrett Carter
  • Evan McPherson
  • Jalen Rivers

Fans quickly pointed out that embattled wideout Jermaine Burton wasn’t on the list, so the Bengals followed up by reporting that he’s been dealing with a multi-day illness, according to Mike Petraglia of CLNS Media.

Otherwise, some key parts of the future showed up for the session, including both rookie linebackers the team will keep starting in the wake of the Logan Wilson trade.

Also of note, first-rounder Shemar Stewart wasn’t on the list as he battles a knee injury.
