BREAKING : Browns Coach Answers Puzzling Question About Dillon Gabriel’s Height

Dillon Gabriel has been the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns since Oct. 5, when he started against the Minnesota Vikings.

Despite the loss in that game, the early returns were solid. He finished the contest with 190 yards through the air, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He started in the three games after the Vikings’ one and has compiled 702 passing yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions this year.

The Browns are trying to see what they have in him and if he could be their starting quarterback for future seasons.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski discussed Gabriel during his presser on Wednesday and answered an interesting question about whether his 5’11 height is a reason he hasn’t thrown to wide receivers as often.

“I understand the question, but I would not characterize it that way,” Stefanski told Browns reporter Tony Grossi. “We need to play better as an offense. Certainly, there’s areas to improve for a young quarterback.”

The Browns are 2-6 through eight games and are coming off a much-needed bye week. They have a very winnable game on Sunday against the 1-7 New York Jets, but their offense will need to be a lot better than it has been if they want to come away with the victory.

Before the Browns’ bye week, they lost their last game to the New England Patriots on Oct. 26, 32-13. It came one week after they crushed the Miami Dolphins at home, 31-6.

Kickoff for Sunday’s Browns-Jets game will be at 1 p.m. ET on CBS. Spero Dedes and Adam Archuleta will have the call.
