Patrick Mahomes issued a demand to his teammates after losing to Josh Allen on Sunday evening.
The Kansas City Chiefs fell to the Buffalo Bills, 28-21, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. The Bills and the Chiefs were meeting in a rematch of the AFC Championship Game last year. Kansas City won that game, but couldn’t get the job done against Buffalo on Sunday.
Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, knows that he needs to be better moving forward.
“We’ve had great moments and we’ve had bad moments,” Mahomes said. “We’ve got to be more consistent as a team, I’ve got to be more consistent as a quarterback and we’ve gotta be able to battle.”

Mahomes is now 5-5 all-time against Allen. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback has a 4-0 record all-time against Allen in the postseason. However, Allen has been the better player in the regular season, going 5-1 against Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs will probably have to go through the Buffalo Bills if they are going to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Mahomes, 30, issued a demand to his teammates following Sunday afternoon’s loss to Josh Allen.
Chiefs ‘urgency’ needs to get better
Mahomes is telling his teammates that their sense of urgency needs to improve immediately. The Chiefs are now 5-4 on the season. There’s not a lot of time left to separate in the AFC.
“We’ve got to learn from it,” Mahomes said while speaking to the media postgame.
“But it’s kind of like, we’ve got to do it now,” Mahomes demanded. “There’s no easy game coming up, and there’s no more chances that we can really take losses. You’ve got to learn from it fast.”
The Chiefs are off this weekend, before returning to the field on Nov. 16 against the Broncos in a huge AFC West showdown.
