The Kansas City Chiefs’ winning streak was snapped on Sunday after they fell to the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, during his postgame press conference, shared an update on Jawaan Taylor’s injury.
“Alright, the only injury coming out of it was Jawaan Taylor, who hurt his right ankle,” said Reid without detail regarding the severity as the team heads into their much-needed bye week.
The moment occurred in the fourth quarter, as the Bills sacked Patrick Mahomes and Taylor was accidentally rolled up, suffering an ankle injury. He didn’t return to the game with Wanya Morris stepping in to finish the night. Kingsley Suamataia left the game briefly with an injury, with Mike Caliendo filling in for a few snaps.

Taylor has been playing his best football of the season before the injury and has become one of the more efficient right tackles in the league. The veteran offensive lineman’s presence was missed as Buffalo’s Joey Bosa increased his pass rush pressure, causing an interception.
