Kansas City Chiefs Blasted For Their ‘Tone Deaf’ Celebration

The Kansas City Chiefs put on a show in Week 7, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders by a final score of 31-0. Their offense was operating at an elite level thanks to the return of wide receiver Rashee Rice.

Rice, a former second-round pick from SMU, had seven catches for 42 yards and two touchdowns this past Sunday. It was his first game since Sept. 29, 2024. He missed most of last season due to a torn ACL.

The NFL then suspended Rice for the first six games of the 2025 season for violating its personal conduct policy. Back in March 2024, he and another driver caused a chain-reaction collision in Dallas. As you’d imagine, the Chiefs were glad to have their No. 1 wideout back on the field.

“You saw the trust that Pat has in him, which is so important,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said after the win. “I thought the whole receiving crew did a nice job, but it was great to have him back. The energy he brings is just tremendous.”

Following the Chiefs’ 31-0 victory over the Raiders, the locker room celebrated Rice’s return to the gridiron.

The Chiefs shared a couple of photos from the locker room along with this caption: “Four gets his flowers.”

NFL fans rip the Chiefs.

There are plenty of people who found this to be a tone-deaf post from Kansas City. After all, Rice missed the first six games of the season because of his own actions.

“We are all REALLY proud of him that he survived fleeing the scene of a potentially tragic and fatal vehicle accident,” a fan sarcastically said.

“The Chiefs are the least likable team in the league by a WIDE margin,” a second fan wrote on X.

“These guys are tone deaf as hell,” another fan replied.

“No respect for you guys. As if you couldn’t become more insufferable,” a fan commented.

At this point, Kansas City is probably unfazed by all the noise.

The Chiefs will be back in the spotlight Monday night against the Washington Commanders. We wouldn’t be shocked if the offense looks even better in Week 8.

“We’re going to get even more and more in sync with having the full arsenal,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said. “As long as we keep playing unselfish and getting excited for each other, the sky’s the limit for this group.”
