Veteran sideline reporter Erin Andrews and her broadcast partners Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady were in Chicago over the weekend for an NFC North clash between the Bears and Green Bay Packers.
The broadcast team had seats to one of the best finishes of the season as the Packers used a blocked field goal – a la the Kansas City Chiefs over the Denver Broncos just one week ago – to escape with a 20-19 win. The lasting image from the game, though, didn’t come from action on the field.
Instead, the postgame interview between Andrews and Packers star quarterback Jordan Love caused a stir thanks to the sideline reporter’s iconic leather jacket. Everyone in her comments section on social media wanted the link for the jacket – including longtime friend and podcast co-host Charissa Thompson.
Andrews posted her interview with Love on her Instagram account and Thompson couldn’t get to the comments section fast enough.
“Need jacket. Thanks,” she asked – or rather demanded.
The friends got to spend a little extra time together during Sunday’s games with Thompson in the NFL on Fox studio. They used that time to have a laugh after Andrews was called out for a “fake” weather report.
“I am going to cite Fox Weather, so if anyone questions the weather report, that’s where I got it from. It feels like 53 degrees today. You see the wind blowing today … Wind is going to be about 11-20 mph during this game, but we are very lucky here in Chicago, Charissa,” Andrews joked during the show.
“My girl loves a weather report. And it’s always accurate,” Thompson replied.
Hook Charissa up with the link, Erin.
