THE Kansas City Chiefs are facing a mystery with one of their stars this week.
Rookie offensive lineman Josh Simmons has disappeared from the team.

Just minutes before inactives were set to be announced on Sunday, Simmons was suddenly announced as not playing.
Reports indicated that Simmons did not show up for the game and that coaches did not know where he was.
“Josh Simmons is in California,” ESPN Chiefs reporter Nate Taylor reported.
“He left at a time on Sunday that is extremely unusual.
“I’m not sure when he’s coming back & as of right now the team doesn’t know when he’s coming back.”
Simmons also deleted his Instagram account earlier that day.
The Chiefs announced that Simmons would miss the game due to “personal” reasons, but wouldn’t provide any more info.
“As far as the Josh Simmons situation goes, I’m not going to comment on it today,” head coach Andy Reid said.
“[General Manager Brett] Veach is handling everything there — and we’ll leave it at that.”
Patrick Mahomes echoed a similar sentiment when it was his turn to speak.
“I’ll keep conversations between us,” Mahomes said.
“I’m always praying for him. I pray for all my teammates, so I’m always praying for him.
“I’ll just keep everything else private between us.”
Simmons was drafted with the No. 32 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
He started all five of the Chiefs’ games before their clash against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
Chiefs fans are baffled as to what is going on with Simmons and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Praying for Josh Simmons, hope all is well,” one fan said.
“Sounds like a none of my business thing,” another fan said.
“Family crisis trumps all forms of work!” a third fan said.
“Prayers to what he’s going through right now,” a fourth fan said.
