Terrion Arnold Injury Update: Dan Campbell Reveals Return Date For CB Following Loss vs Kansas City | College Sports Network
Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold (0) walks off the field after practice during OTAs at Detroit Lions headquarters and training facility in Allen Park on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

The Detroit Lions were without starting cornerback Terrion Arnold during Monday night’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Arnold exited the team’s Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a shoulder injury. He later admitted to reporters that he’s been paying at around 75% healthy this season.

This week, the Lions have a highly anticipated matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and they’ll be without a few key members of the secondary. Arnold, Brian Branch, and Avonte Maddox are all expected to miss this week’s game. Defensive backs D.J. Reed and Khalil Dorsey are already on the injured reserve list.

Despite Detroit taking hits in its secondary, there was some positive news about Arnold today.

As per head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions should get Arnold back once they return from their bye week after facing the Buccaneers.

The Lions were unsure if they’d lose Arnold for the year or not when his injury first happened. Following a second opinion, the team expects him to return sooner rather than later and will get a boost back to its secondary.

Arnold has 22 total tackles and four pass deflections this season.

Where Do The Detroit Lions Stand After Their Sunday Night Loss to Kansas City?

Through the first six weeks of the 2025 NFL season, the Detroit Lions find themselves in second place in the NFC North division. Following Sunday night’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Lions sit at 4-2. Detroit’s other loss came in Week 1 against division foe, the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers, at 3-1-1, sit atop the division with the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears a half game behind Detroit at 3-2. Aside from the Lions, the rest of the division has had their bye already.

After Detroit faces Tampa Bay this week, they will be on their bye and then will face Minnesota when they return.
