The Kansas City Chiefs got a massive win on Sunday night over the Detroit Lions 30-17 to improve to 3-3 on the season.

Leading the way for Kansas City was quarterback Patrick Mahomes who completed 22 of his 30 passes for 257 yards, four total touchdowns, and rushed 10 times for 32 yards.

Travis Kelce led all Chiefs wide receivers with six receptions for 78 yards, and the NFL even captured a viral mic’d-up moment from the three-time Super Bowl champion.

Following a first-quarter catch, Kelce was on the sideline referencing NBA legend Hakeem Olajuwon and even took the opportunity to give a teaching moment to one of his younger Kansas City teammates.

“They don’t want to see me in the post, man. They don’t want to see me in the post,” Kelce said. “Hit they [explicit] with the Hakeem the Dream!”

He later added, when talking to a teammate saying, “See you wasn’t even apart of the 90’s. You would’ve saw Hakeem Olajuwon hit them with that dream shake. You gotta do your research… I grew up watching that, so I emulated that. shoutout to the dream.”

Fans reacted to Kelce’s hilarious sideline reaction:

“You gotta love this guy,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Hakeem Olajuwon… The Great.”

Another person wrote, “Respect given where respect is due.”

“Uncle Travis to the rescue,” one more fan commented.

Travis Kelce turned 36 just over a week ago. While he wasn’t all that old when Hakeem Olajuwon was in his prime with the Houston Rockets, Kelce remains the oldest active player on the Chiefs roster aside from long snapper James Winchester.

Kelce is currently in his 13th NFL season, having briefly contemplated retirement following the team’s loss in Super Bowl LIX.
