The Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions have released their inactive players lists for their Week 6 matchup on Sunday Night Football.
The Chiefs are entering this game with a clean bill of health after every player on their active roster fully participated during Friday’s practice. As for the Lions, they are severely ailing on both sides of the ball, and are down several key starters. Let’s take a look at each team’s full lists of inactive players.
Lions inactive players
- OT Taylor Decker
- DL Mekhi Wingo
- CB Terrion Arnold
- DB Avonte Maddox
- LB Zach Cunningham
- S Loren Strickland
- RB Sione Vaki
Observations:
- The Lions are down their starting left tackle in Decker, which is a major blow. They will start their third different player of the season in that spot, with veteran Dan Skipper.
- Detroit’s secondary is hurting as it will be without its top three cornerbacks in this game, but the Lions got some good news with their starting safeties Kerby Joseph and Brian Branch, who are both active after not practicing much this past week.

Chiefs inactive players
- OL Josh Simmons
- CB Kristian Fulton
- RB Elijah Mitchell
- TE Jared Wiley
- DE Malik Herring
Observations:
- News broke earlier today about Simmons missing Sunday night’s game for a personal matter back home in California. Jaylon Moore figures to start in his place, with Wanya Morris potentially being in the mix as well.
- Despite practicing in full all week, Fulton is inactive and will miss his fourth consecutive game.
