CINCINNATI Bengals quarterback has officially been benched before slamming the decision and saying it sucks.
The Bengals face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday as they hope to right their 2-3 record in the 2025 NFL season.

They started the season 2-0 with victories against the Browns and Jaguars, but an injury to Joe Burrow has left them sliding.
Burrow suffered a toe injury against Jacksonville and is set to miss the majority of the season.
As his replacement, they turned to backup QB Jake Browning, but after three losses on the bounce, Cincinnati have traded for Joe Flacco.
The 29-year-old told the press that he was not pleased about the decision but will not sulk.
He said, “If I wasn’t pissed, then I shouldn’t be in this locker room.
“If you don’t play well, you’re gonna get replaced. That’s what I’m going through.
“I need to limit some turnovers. But I think there’s a lot of other things that kind of contributed to our lack of offensive production.
“I can point to the Denver game where I did take care of the ball, and we put up three points.
“I’m not dumb or arrogant enough to think I didn’t play my role in the offensive struggles, but there’s a lot that goes into it.
“But I think there’s a lot of other things that kind of contributed to our lack of offensive production.”
Browning joined the Bengals in 2023 and has played 16 games for the side, featuring mainly as an injury replacement for Burrow.
He continued, “I’m not gonna walk around sulking because one, no one cares how you’re feeling about it. It is what it is.
“And two, I’ve got a little more pride than that to just be sulking around everywhere.
“So I’m just staying prepared and doing what I’ve got to do.”
Having graduated from the University of Washington in 2018, Browning went undrafted in 2019, signing with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent.
He stayed in Minneapolis for three years, failing to make it out of the practice squad, before moving to Cincinnati.
He spent two years in the scout team but was given his first opportunity in 2023 and was named the No. 2 QB.
A season-long injury to Burrow meant he featured in nine games in the 2023 season, impressing throughout.
He finished the season with 1,936 passing yards, 12 touchdowns, as well as being the NFL completion percentage leader that year.
When Burrow returned the following season, he returned to the backup role, where he looks like he will remain.
