The New England Patriots have a lot to be excited about at the moment. The Pats are coming off their first signature of victory of the Drake Maye, Mike Vrabel era, when they took down the NFL’s last undefeated team, the Buffalo Bills, on Sunday night.
The Patriots are looking to build on the positive momentum and keep stacking wins. Unfortunately, one of their most important pieces and talented players has worked his way onto the injury report with a notoriously sensitive injury, according to one prominent league insider.
“Injury to watch: #Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez was limited today with a hamstring injury. He was full yesterday,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Thursday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“I don’t understand why people continue to say he injury prone, his rookie year he tore his labrum ok cool. Played all last year and was all pro second team. Then he had a hamstring injury and now he injury prone,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Hamstrings are tough ones to come back from. Easily re-aggrevated,” another fan added.
“Hope it’s a minor hamstring tweak for Christian Gonzalez! Hamstring injuries can sideline players for ~13 days on average. Patriots need him for the Saints game Sunday—fingers crossed for a quick recovery!” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Patriots manage the injury from here.
