Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Reacts to Personal Development on Friday

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their best win of the regular season so far in Week 4, when they dominated the Baltimore Ravens 37-20 to secure their second consecutive victory and improve to 2-2 on the season.

Following the performance, Mahomes, who threw four touchdown passes and became the youngest and fastest player in NFL history to reach 250 career touchdown passes, was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Mahomes’ impact hasn’t been limited to the field. Off the field, he continues to make a difference as well. In an initiative announced in May, shortly after his induction into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame, he partnered with Adidas to provide 15 high schools with new gear—including jerseys featuring his Gladiator logo.

Liberty North High School in Missouri is set to debut their new look during Friday night’s game, prompting a reaction from Mahomes on X.

Liberty North’s post read, “New look. Same fight,” tagging Mahomes, who retweeted it with his signature clock/alarm emojis, a staple of his football-related social media posts.

Fans reacted to Mahomes’ classy gesture:

“Well done, Patrick,” a fan said.

Someone else added, “Pat’s the best.”

Another person wrote, “My High School getting noticed by Mahomes.”

“What a tweet. Amazing,” one more person commented.

Mahomes spoke about the inspiration behind his Gladiator logo and the hope this development brings, aiming to leave his mark on several high schools in Texas, where he competed in high school, as well as in other states across the U.S.

“Seeing this Gladiator logo… which has become part of my identity on a Whitehouse jersey means everything to me,” Mahomes told Chiefs Wire. “It’s a symbol of what we stood for when I was at Whitehouse. That mindset of giving everything you got and never backing down is something I’ve carried with me through every stage of my career. And now it is something I hope inspires the next generation of athletes across the country.”
