Two Patriots defensive starters don’t practice ahead of Bills game

FOXBORO — The Patriots were missing two veteran starters at practice Wednesday.

Safety Jaylinn Hawkins (hamstring) and outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson (knee) both did not participate.

DT Christian Barmore (not injury related/other), DT Milton Williams (ankle) and G Jared Wilson (ankle/knee) were limited in Wednesday’s session. LT Will Campbell (shoulder), LB Marte Mapu (neck), RG Mike Onwenu (shoulder) and Tavai were full participants.

The statuses of Chaisson, Hawkins and Wilson bear monitoring this week.

If Wilson can’t play, then Ben Brown would fill in at left guard. Hawkins’ spot would likely be filled by veteran safety Kyle Dugger. Keion White and Anfernee Jennings would both take on bigger roles if Chaisson can’t play.
