Patrick Mahomes Earns AFC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

It was an afternoon to remember for quarterback Patrick Mahomes last Sunday, and it caught the attention of the league office.

Mahomes was named the AFC “Offensive Player of the Week” on Wednesday after tossing four touchdown passes in the Kansas City Chiefs’ dominant victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Mahomes found a different pass-catcher on each of his four scoring strikes, tallying his 18th career performance with at least four touchdown throws.

Kansas City’s veteran quarterback led the Chiefs to points on seven of their first eight possessions on Sunday, engineering Kansas City’s largest margin of victory since the Wild Card Round of the 2023 postseason.

This marks Mahomes’ 11th career “Player of the Week” award, and his first since Week 12 of the 2023 season.

Mahomes and the Chiefs will now look to post another strong offensive performance this upcoming week as Kansas City travels to Jacksonville for Monday Night Football.
